Malmo is a futuristic city and the leading city in the world when it comes to sustainability. It is the third largest city in Sweden and the principal attraction of Southern Sweden. Half of its population is less than 35 years old and one in three were born abroad. The city forms part of the fluorescent region of Øresund, the Sound, and the impressive arch bridge of Øresund brings it together with Copenhagen (Denmark). The bridge is 10 miles (16 km) long and is one of the largest bridges in the world above sea.
In spite of being a growing city, it is quite cosy with numerous cultural and culinary attractions. We shall visit the island of museums where the interactive Technology and Maritime Museum lies filled with novelties and activities for all ages and interests. Moreover, we shall see the oldest castle in Scandinavia that dates back to the Renaissance and that today has been converted to a museum.
Malmo also offers a vast zone of beautiful parks and the architecturally impressive sustainable district Västra Hamnen. It is where the Turning Torso is situated, the emblem of Västra Hamnen. This city also offers great shopping possibilities, especially if you are looking for designer items or ultramodern Swedish fashion. The streets of Malmo are always lively and are always embracing its guests.
